Welcome back to KLR24, King's Lynn's leading digital radio station! We are thrilled to announce that after a year off the air, KLR24 are back on the airwaves. THousands have already tuned in to test transmissions! Originally the station filled the void left by the failed Kings Lynn FM station. Now, they are excited to bring back an award-winning slate of talented broadcasters, including Piers Mettrick, Paul Kazam, Emma Scott and Gordon Cooper. MD, Tyler Lewis has worked tirelessly to make this happen, and joining the old crew is Andy Sutton, and the Old Brits. Lewis has also negotiatedthe return to the station for one show a week - former KLR24 favourite Richard J Hannah . Richard started as a Breakfast Show fill-in before moving to specialist shows and weekend slots in the last iteration of KLR24. Exciting news! KLR24 and Broadcast East ( who manage Richard Hannah's shows) have agreed that Hannah's Sunday Radio Magazine will air during the Station's Sunday lunchtime slot (1-3PM). Broadcast East will also provide voice over, production services, marketing support, and consultancy. The contract will begin on March 10th, 2024. Richard Hannah, who is both a broadcaster and a NED for North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, as well as a digital transformation consultant with Consultancy MCW, said, 'It's great to be back and I'm thrilled to be working with such a fantastic team!' KLR24 has an amazing following and sets trends in the county! They challenge even the mighty BBC stations with a unique mix of great music and personality-led programming." On Sundays, Hannah will host a fantastic magazine-style lunchtime show featuring news, competitions, comedy, and dedications. The presenter said that he enjoys "the Conversation" with the Norfolk audience, especially since he lives in the South West of the County. |
